So I ran windows updates on it and after it installed a bunch of them, the usb mic worked perfectly inside citrix inside dragon. So this led me to believe it was an issue with his pc. From my machine, inside citrix, I used his windows profile, and his USB mic and inside dragon it had zero issues. I spun my wheels checking everything for 2 weeks (thinking it was a faulty mic or an issue with citrix or an issue with dragon) and then decided to log in as him on my own windows laptop. But as I mentioned, when you go to do a mic check, it always fails with 'levels too low.' We can record audio via the usb mic using the built in windows 7 sound recorder and it works great! When you choose the mic that you want to use in Dragon, it has a level meter there too and the usb mic levels look great there.

We can check the levels of the usb mic in the recording tab of the sound preferences on the actual computer itself AND on the 2016 server and they look great there. Remember, it doesn't do this with the bluetooth mic. So with the USB mic connected to the pc (and after verifying that the server sees it too), we perform a mic check in dragon and it tells us the levels are too low. If the levels are too low, it will tell you and you cannot proceed until you resolve that. If it deems the mic levels are good, you can proceed. It will listen to you as you speak a given text and it will adjust the mic appropriately. If you're familiar with Dragon, you can choose which mic you want to use and then tell it to perform a mic check. The Yeti USB mic (and any usb mic we have tried) is where he's having the issue. The bluetooth plantronics mic works without issue on the computer and inside citrix and inside dragon. According to Nuance, the latest version of Dragon Pro Group is compatible with Citrix.Īs far as the microphones he's using, he has a Plantronics bluetooth headset and a brand new Yeti USB mic which he prefers. Installed on this virtual machine is Nuance Dragon Professional Group v15. He is using Citrix Full Desktop which connects him to a brand new server 2016 virtual machine.

We have a client who is using Citrix Receiver version 4.9 on his Windows 7 64bit pc. This question may be ultra specific but I need to put it out there to see if anyone has seen this issue before.
